Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi – Ben Tre – Vung Tau

DAY 1: SPECIAL WELCOME- DISCOVER THE COLORFUL COUNTRY BY CU CHI TUNNELS

Set off with your guide for a half-day excursion by departing Ho Chi Minh City for a 1.5-hour drive northwest to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, passing through urbanized areas and typically lush southern Vietnamese countryside. Originally dug to serve as a base for organizing guerrilla actions against the French, the Cu Chi tunnels were expanded during the Indochina War to become an ingenious and incredible underground network intended to protect guerrillas from Viet Cong French air and ground raids. Visit the extensive network of underground passages to gain insight into the history of the tunnels, life in the tunnels, and the tenacity and ingenuity of the Vietnamese during battle.

DAY 2: 03 Apr 24: EXPLORE THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE OF VIETNAM BY BEN TRE ONE DAY (B, L)

Pickup and drop off at Ham Luong Pier in town or Chet Say Pier (5 km from Center). Boating on Ben Tre river – one of tributaries of Mekong river- go along mangrove trees growing up ashore of waterway. Witness lively activities of town market on land and transfering on waterway as fishing boats, coconut cargo boats. Discover handmade local workshops and country in Nhon Thanh village.

 Boating on river to traditional brickwork to see how to make bricks by hand. Turn on Cai Son canal winding through coconut jungle, visit coconut workshop, have a look stages of coconut processing from husk off, prize out to peel out by hand.

 Go on small waterway and stop at coconut candy workshop, have a look them making candy by hand, try some sweet, enjoy some fruits and listen to local music as well. Go on by boat and step ashore and take a shortwalk to farmer house who making sleeping mats. Hop on traditional tuktuk or bicycle through coconut grove, Nhon Thanh – Thuan Dien village, deeping on coconut jungle in country. Keep going by rowing boat on shady palm tree canal in Cai Tac pier.

 Stop for lunch at local restaurant with local specialties along river. Walk a bit along riverside before heading to Sai Gon by your own private car. Tour ends at around 5pm.

DAY 3: HCMC – VUNG TAU – HCMC (B, L)

Day trip Ho Chi Minh to Vung Tau, a beach side city by harmonious combination between sea, mountain with urban architects and cultural landmarks, you will not only spend time relaxing at the beautiful Vung Tau beach, also you explore some landmarks of the beach city Vung Tau such as Hai Dang on small mountain, the White palace (The French governor of Indochina, Paul Dormer), Statue of Jesus Christ…

In the morning, be picked up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh, depart for Vung Tau beach side city (about 2-hour drive), a famous beach resort with long white sandy beaches and warm water whole year round.

Arrive to Vung Tau city, we first visit the landmarks including the Summer Palace of Emperor Bao Dai (White Palace), Christ Hill (St. Jacque Janeiro), 18 meters high Goddess of Mercy, Thuy Van beach and Whale Temple dedicated to whales considered as the rescuing gods for Vietnamese fisherman in the east sea.

Have lunch at local restaurant and leisure time afternoon at Thuy Van Beach. You can have a swim or join exciting water sport activities. Drive back to Saigon.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
